On November 2nd, 2016, Freedom for Humanity hosted a very successful Gala Ball at Sheraton on the Park in Sydney. All the proceeds went to Anti-Slavery Australia.

Highlights of the evening included live painting by Sarah Rowan Dahl, jazz music by Mimosa Duo, a silent auction as well as DJ Yolanda be Cool playing a mix of classic and modern tunes on the dance floor.

The evening also featured presentations that shed some light on the issue of slavery and human trafficking, creating awareness and highlighting the impact of this soul-destroying industry.

Speakers included Professor Jennifer Burns, Director of Anti-Slavery Australia; Senator for Victoria Derryn Hinch, as well as Anna Ruth, CEO and Founder of Freedom for Humanity.

Thanks to Anna Ruth and the rest of the Freedom for Humanity Committee for all their hard work in organising and contributing towards making the event a huge success. We’d also like to thank our volunteers who helped throughout the evening. Special thanks to all our entertainers, sponsors and donors, and our photographer for doing such a great job capturing the fun at the Gala Ball.
